“Potato portraits” from artist Ginou Choueiri. I think there is opportunity for some kind of commercial here. Hell, if Geico can put eyeballs on a stack of cash, why not mugs on spuds?

Somebody posted this to Twitter, I don’t recall who - it struck me as pretty amazing. For some reason, when I looked at the photos of the Depression, it occured to me that the people in the photos are (were) my age.
For some unknown reason, when I think of this period I think of my Grandfather, and people much older than me.
There is a series of photos of a 32 year old woman with 7 children - she looks 45. I guess 7 kids, poverty, and the Great Depression will do that to you.
